I also agree that the laity generally are still too passive (that is, when
they’re not too aggressively active!). That is really one of the basic
reasons for the existence of CUF: to be a little alarm clock to wake people
up, and then a center around which they can rally, and act in the way
befitting members of Christ’s true Church. . . . The situation keeps
changing, and it’s important that the laity try to act under some kind of
coordination, which only an organization like CUF can provide.
